FAQ
Q&A (Clinic)
1. What is the main focus of BVA Clinic?
At Brea Volleyball Academy Clinic, we utilize the opportunity of time and athlete focused instruction. Through organized team and individual play, we provide instruction and break down skills for your child. More individual attention and structure in a friendly atmosphere will enable better growth for your child.
During the week at BVA Clinic, our approachable and highly skilled coaching staff will focus on individual position training, team volleyball skills, strategy, and physical conditioning. During the Saturday BVA Clinic, we will offer game, team play, and scrimmages.
2. How many athletes are in each group?
At BVA, athletes are delineated by ability level and not by age. Athletes will have the opportunity to move within these groups based on their individual progression. We offer a head coach for each group with 12-15 girls per group. Assistant coaches will also be available to help the athletes.
3. Is it okay for my child to participate in other sports?
Of course! Athleticism is encouraged with our athletes. Brea Volleyball Academy was established for athletes interested in bettering their fundamentals and skills in volleyball as well as learning a love for the game. However, we do ask our athletes to please stay in communication with their coaches so that they can accommodate you and plan their group practices accordingly.
4. Where do teams practice?
Teams will practice at local facilities, mainly the Brea Community Center and Brea Olinda High School, so please refer to your schedule. See attached calendar and maps to our practice facilities.
5. Must my daughter be a Brea Olinda student in order to participate?
No. We welcome all athletes regardless of your home school. All athletes interested in learning volleyball are welcome.
